Bulban Salim is an artist in Queens, New York. Her work mainly focuses on conceptual themes and the process of art-making. Her experiences as a first generation immigrant, the accompanying marginalization and eventual empowerment have shaped her as an artist and has informed her work. Her subject matter includes both the figurative and abstract.
She uses a wide-range of mediums, paying close attention to its unique qualities and communicative potential.
She graduated from Fiorello H. LaGuradia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts and New York University with a Studio Art concentration.
