LIC Artists, Inc. (LiC-A) is a New York City based non-profit 501(c)(3) artist advocacy organization located in Long Island City, Queens. LiC-A supports local artists through exhibitions, special events, community outreach and publicity. LiC-A has over 250 artist members whose creative art is as diverse and exciting as the New York City borough in which they work.
As a response to the COVID-19 shutdown of New York City and the corresponding loss of exhibition space, LiC-A launched in April an Online Exhibition to continue to bring art from its members to the Queens community. LiC-A dedicated this first online exhibition to the healthcare workers and service personnel who have given New York so much during this period. The organization is seeking funding to expand the online exhibitions, programs and resources they can offer to the greater community in this time of need.
