Working in mixed media and collage is the path back to myself. It allows me time and space to ponder, plot, shape and edit until it reflects me. Drawing from the tangled trinity of Family, Faith and Art, I produced a series called Into the Ears of Babes exploring familial scripts which have shaped me for better or worse. As I continue to examine and consider the concepts of body image, autonomy, motherhood and belonging, I look inward with honesty and care to unearth my full self when I cut...color...paste...contemplate.
