June Kosloff
June Kosloff aka @jkosart is a mixed media artist based in LIC, Queens.
Her current work is a combination of large scale painted portraits as well as smaller mixed media/prints incorporating text in response to current events both personal and public. In addition, June has a sustainable fashion practice that incorporates images and text on upcycled clothing as well bags and hats sewn from scratch.
She went to the High School of Art & Design in New York City and received her BALA from SUNY Purchase. Additionally, she trained at the Arts Students League in New York, taking classes in drawing and painting.
Kosloff has exhibited in numerous group shows across the US and in solo shows in New York, NY, and Tulsa, OK, where her 2024 exhibit, "Recipes for Life: The Lucky Bubby Cookbook" was reviewed in an article by Independent Review Crew.
Kosloff has participated in residencies at Positive Space Gallery, Tulsa OK (2024) and the Castle Hill Art Center, Truro, MA (2021, 2020). Her fine art pieces are featured in numerous private collections. You can find @jkosart’s uplifting, guerrilla street art on the vacant storefront walls and the streets of New York City in Soho, the Lower East Side, as well as in Seattle, WA, and Wynwood, FL.
Kosloff lives in Manhattan, New York and practices in Long Island City, Queens.
