Artist Statement:
I dance when I paint and the canvas is my partner. It's all about rhythm, motion, balance, and harmony.
Like a dancer I center myself, address my partner and begin the dance.. Sometimes I lead and sometimes I follow. Sometimes we dance outside, under the sky, frolicking in meadows and along rivers. Other times we dance quietly, with romantic music playing a familiar tune.
I start by making marks and see where they lead. I like to create a dialogue between characters played out in a world with subtle illusions of landscape and space.
