Paulo Munera

 

Paulo Munera is a New York City based artist. Born in Medellin, Colombia in 1980.

Paulo is a self thought visual artist with a strong passion and skills for drawing and painting. His painting medium is primarily oil, graphite, ink and oil pastel.

His style is contemporary with influences from surrealism, cubism and abstract expressionism. His pallet consist of a broad range of vivid colors and often resorts to primary colors that have a strong connection to his roots such as the Colombian flag in Yellow, Blue and Red. His paintings featured strong deep background colors and for the subjects he uses a lot of line work many times applied with pallet knives that carry the texture of the oil paint throughout the canvas.
