After many years of painting landscapes in oil, I began to explore abstraction as well as experimentation with acrylic paint, acrylic ink, mixed media and watercolor.

This inquiry into new materials and forms led me to explore interconnected theses with each new series: the sea, dreams, energy, the cycle of life and death. Referencing Richard Diebenkorn, I am currently deconstructing my landscapes with layers of oil paint to recreate the colors and atmosphere of the eastern end of Long Island.
